Members catch fish with Salt Guide
Yep, we love catching fish, but every time we hit the water, it’s about finding the fish for our members. From winter snapper in Western Port, gummies in the bay and bread and butter fishing each and every week… to further afield for the Portland tuna when they are hot. We get out there and bring our members all the info to get them onto the fish for the week ahead. But don’t just listen to us… this week we’ll let some members (and their pics!) do the talking…

Hey boys, after 2 years of trying in vain on my own I decided to join Salt Guide after meeting Red at the ramp a while back. After watching the videos and following your tips it all came together today. Fished Gawaine’s mark in Western Port and finally nailed my first Gummy. No monster, but at about 6kg, more than enough to have me hooked. Thanks legends Jeremy Groves 👍👍👍
Salt Guide: How good is that Jeremy – great work. Make sure you hit up the videos on the web site on how Gawaine and Red go about bleeding gummy sharks, so you don’t have to do that cut behind the head.

Hey guys, Just thought I would show some appreciation that I have towards Salt Guide. I have fished pretty much all my life and done quite well over the years.
Consider myself pretty knowledgeable and confident in my local haunts, those being primarily Mt Martha to Carrum. Since signing up to Salt Guide I’ve never had better success. The gps marks and vids to catch certain fish are great but more so for me it has given options to travel and fish spots otherwise I would have never tried, broadened my horizons and given me confidence in sitting it out in unknown waters.
I signed up in jan of 2019, since then have landed my first Vic King 9kg, plenty of Snapper early season up to 6kg, Gummies up to 18kg and a SBF tuna to 25kg.
All I can say is it’s a massive game changer, nothing worse than sitting it out and second guessing yourself at a certain spot. Big ups to the crew, love your work! Can’t wait until we are all out there again!
