Hopes are high for fishing from Monday

By on May 8th, 2020

Hopes are high for a relaxation of Victorian restrictions on boating and fishing in the Premier’s announcement on Monday 11 May.

The expectation of fishing being included in the first round of easements to restrictions is based on the Federal Government National Principles for the resumption of Sport and Recreation activities. This provides for a staged resumption of recreational activity with an initial phase including small group non-contact activities such as golf, fishing, bush-walking and swimming.

We await Monday’s announcement with high hopes and just can’t wait to get out on the water, into those amazing Western Port and Port Phillip Bay whiting, not to mention the calamari and the hope that those  local Blue Fin are still awaiting for us…

We will keep you advised as announcements are made…
